Incredible Star Spangled Banner Quilt

 An outstanding quilt design, The Star Spangled Banner antique quilt.

This one displays the fine handwork of the quilter and the piecework is incredible.  The pattern,  a rare one!!

Feathered wreaths, triple rod hand quilting and much more add to the fine quality of this quilt .

The name, Star Spangled Banner gives this quilt a patriotic theme  too. 

Imagine piecing this beauty, a circa 1880’s quilt, back in a time when many quilts were utilitarian and made for warmth. 

This one expressed the makers talent in patchwork. A true artist that made this. 

Colors of red and a sage shade on a natural ground give this quilt a great look with the colors feeling so natural. 

This beauty looks to be really unused and never washed.

Please note the many images were taken both inside and outside. 

Not only is the pattern outstanding, but the border adds to the incredible detail.  The sawtooth edge that is then bordered by the strip of green.
