This is such a rare quilt, one with a similar Overall Sam pattern only with the red white and blue flag patterned fabrics.
Reminds me of the patriotic banners and used for the making of this pattern of appliqué work.
All hand quilted and nicely hand appliqued.
Love the blue and white stars shirt he is wearing and the red and white striped pants and red shoes. There is also some embroidery work on the shirt.
This appears as an older top, like circa 1940’s , that was finished later and then all nicely hand quilted and bound with a great red and white stars fabric.
Looks unwashed with some minor age toning, no wear to note.
