This stunning quilt has not only fine hand quilting, but a design of solid red touching stars and then framed by a dynamic diamonds border then finished off with a neat red binding.
This circa 1880’s quilt is in fine antique condition.
Excellent condition.
I gave this beauty a gentle bath and it’s ready to enjoy in so many ways.
It has some very slight natural binding wear in a few places and the binding is all original.
The exquisite hand quilting is at 10 stitches per inch.
The maker went above board and did lots of quilting not only in the ground area but also in the stars of red.
This is one of those quilts that one will cherish as it has been well taken care of for about 140 years.
