This exquisite beauty in design, handwork and fabrics ,,, add to that a great sawtooth border, makes for a work of quilt art.
The 4 stars surrounded by an inner border of half stars then framed by the sawtooth border finished off with detailed hand quilting of meandering feathers on the outer border make this a standout.

I gave this quilt, virtually unused, a gentle first wash.
The condition is excellent.
Beautiful cheddar, early madder red, an early double pink with a green calico fabric of the time.
Look at the fantastic hand quilting, quilting designs include a sunflower like design.
