Scrappy String Stars- A Pennsylvania Quilt

This great scrappy 8 Point String Stars quilt from is from Pennsylvania.

This is a striking 8 block design with fabrics of indigos, clarets, shirtings, plaids, ginghams, neons, double pinks, and much more.

The blocks are set on a green calico ground and sashed by double pink. 

The condition is excellent. 

Hand quilted and appears unused and unwashed. 

The maker used lots of fabrics from the time period and likely had a huge scrap bag of fabrics.

No wear noted.

 Circa 1890’s with many earlier fabrics used in the making. 

The dimensions of the quilt are 79x80 inches.
