Sawtooth Rocky Mountain North Carolina Lily Quilt

This truly outstanding antique quilt,  the Sawtooth Rocky Mountain North Carolina quilt is in overall excellent condition. 

A pattern and design layout that not only took skill but much thought and artistry. 

It actually has a folk art feel.  

Circa 1870’s 

All beautifully hand quilted. Note the stipple like heavy quilting in the Lily block.

Some minor age /storage spots, a bit of loss on the over dyed chrome and some fade. 

The piecing of this quilt is phenomenal.

 The colors of red, chrome orange, a sage green on an off white ground make this is visual beauty.

 The  quilt is from Texas or as I was told came from a Texas collectors estate and I feel it’s a southern or east Texas quilt. 

The dimensions are 83x92 inches. Shown on a queen bed.
