This colorful beauty of a vintage quilt, is called The Iris Garden.
A circa 1950’s to the 1970’s quilt as this pattern was published for many years as kits and it was one very popular design. A Progress Kit and it’s all hand quilted and hand applique. The pattern came out in a McCalls publication in the 1950’s.
This quilt is unused, probably just stored after making it and has had a gentle wash and was air dried and is now ready to enjoy. I gave it a bath only to freshen it from years of possible storage.
So this fine quit is in excellent condition and is so usable.
A delightful use of florals make up the central design and the corner of appliqué florals.
