Dresden Plate Quilt with Cone Border

This is an amazing circa 1930’s antique quilt, a Dresden Plate with the attractive ice cream cone border as it’s called. 

The fine condition of this quilt is one that appears that it was stored and was never used.

We love that quilts were cherished and the caretakers put some away for that special occasion and this is one that now has so much life  in it to give. 

The hand quilting on this is fine and looks to have been done by a skilled sewer. The close quilting desigh of cross hatch quilting is outstanding.
