Outstanding Flying Geese Antique Quilt

This country looking quilt  from Georgia  is such a  beauty in color and design.

A strippie like layout with the “geese” flying.  It’s from an estate in Whigham, Georgia. 

Great fabrics from circa 1890’s that add lots of appeal for those that enjoy antique fabrics. 

The condition is excellent and displays wonderfully.

Not only is the front great, as is the backing of a homespun like fabric of gingham and plaid.  

A feature I love is that it’s machine quilted,  more likely done by a treadle machine.

No wear or issues. I’d say it was put up and stored and not used.

The Flying Geese are set with a cadet blue of the time period. 

The dimensions are 82x85 inches .
