This pattern coming out during WWII and a time when many patriotic quilts were made and patterns designed.
This design uses a striped red and white fabric, a blue calico stars print and white to finish out the color scheme. Bordered with the same red and white stripped fabric.
The condition of this great quilt is excellent, as it appears to have been taken care of throughout the years.
The book World War ll Quilts by Sue Reich, is a great reference for many of the WWII quilts and this pattern is shown and discussed in the book.
