An appliqué quilt called Autumn Leaves, a pattern that is similar to a quilt that won a high award at the Chicago Worlds Fair in 1933. The original quilt won Honorable Mention and earlier in the contest won its Regional award in Missouri.
This quilt is so detailed with many colorful appliqué leaves then framed by an inner border and more appliqué leaves and vines and another border, then finished with a gentle scalloped edge.
The quilt has been gently washed.
A circa 1940’s cotton quilt that is ready to enjoy.
Excellent condition with some soft overall fade.
All hand quilted and hand appliqué.
The dimensions are 70 x 78 inches. It is shown on a queen bed.
