This great quilt, a Flower Garden with a hexagon trail around the border is in excellent condition. It’s a quilt that looks unwashed and most likely unused.
A circa 1960’s hand quilted quilt. All the blocks are quilted by the piece.
One of the fine details of this beauty is the amount of fussy cut pieces in the cluster of hexagons. Some of the fabrics are neat conversational/novelty fabrics. This took much more work when piecing the design.
The backing is a soft green fabric.
A great rainbow of colors was used in the selection of fabrics.
Another detail is the knife edge, when the back and front are butted together and then hand stitched.
The dimensions are 78x91 inches which is quite large. A very usable quilt.
