Love scrappy String Quilts with a country feel, but aesthetics of a great string quilt??,,,, then this quilt might speak to you, it sure did me.
This circa 1890’s quilt with a selection of fabrics from even earlier times and a quilt with a great homespun looking backside is superb.
The rich reds and blues and then in the diamonds so many fabrics that one will enjoy seeing the piecework and details.
I didn't wash this quilt. There are some age spots and some on the backside, but felt this was one to enjoy with out doing anything, so I just aired it to take in its beauty.
A few minor binding rubs, very minor. The quilt is all original and no wear noted other than mentioned.
