This incredible beauty will take your breath way with its detail and condition. The scale of the thousands of hand pieced hexagons is like 1/2 inch measured on the side of each hexagon and 7/8 inches across the hexagon.
The details in the making of this quilt are superb.
The condition is excellent.
The maker did many fussy cut pieces,, pieces that a pattern in the fabric was centered in the round of hexagons. So much extra work goes into doing this plus fabric. A skilled quilt maker I would think made this work of art.
The centers start out with a yellow then a print is used in the piecework then a round of solids, having a natural white path in-between all the gardens.
The quilt looks like it was probably just stored for most of its life.
