This is such a stunning smaller scale grannies Flower Garden quilt that was laid out with so much detail and the colors of the cluster of blocks have a concentric design.
The single blocks are only 11/4 inches across the hexagon. Note too the framed green hexies on the outer border.
I added this to the Collection of Piecework of Blocks-Shapes as it uses an all over one patch of hexagons to make the quilt
This took so much more time in making this quilt.
All hand quilted and then bound with a green binding.
The hand quilting is done on the inside of each piece, quilted by the piece, and I also note it is hand pieced.
The condition is excellent on this Illinois quilt.
A circa 1930’s quilt that has the popular center of a yellow block then complementary colors of solids and then prints finishing each cluster of the blocks.
