This outstanding early Ocean Waves quilt, a quilt of many triangles that were used in the making, is such a great fabric quilt with so many circa 1880’s fabrics.
The condition of this attractive quilt is excellent with a minor age spot near the edge.
It has been gently washed and dried outside on the grass.
No wear to note on this American classic popular pattern.
The hand quilting is also quite fine. Note the feathered wreaths in-between the blocks.
The border strips are pieced of 2 different fabrics.
So much attention was used in making this quilt.
The dimensions are 62x80 inches. Just right for display and can be turned either direction if on a bed.
