This superb early whole-cloth Chintz quilt is a testament to being stored and cherished for so many years as it looks as fresh and crisp as when it may have been when made.

The colors are still so vibrant and it displays beautifully.
This beautiful unwashed chintz quilt still retains the glaze on the fabric. A great rich print complemented with a strip of a smaller pattern.
The tiny binding was done with the front turned to the backside and hand stitched down. It’s done in the style of the time period.
Not only is the front a beautiful design, but the backing is superb.

Look at all the images and closeups. Some of the ground fabric is filled with a picotage, tiny dots of background details.
Overall excellent and looks unused. Upon close inspection found a few minor tiny snags that now halve a stitch up.
