This stunning Maryland antique Princess Feather appliqué quilt is so graphically great.
A circa 1870’s quilt.
A 4 block quilt of the detailed applique feathers.
A pattern that is beautiful and can be challenging to make.
Just look at the swirling feathers appliqué and design of the feathers. This one has an interesting center design at the center of the feathers.
Then in the center of the quilt is a medallion star of red and green with a touch of chrome yellow.
The hand quilting on this beauty is amazing as the maker left no areas unquilted. The maker quilted different designs in the ground areas and also heavily quilted the appliqué pieces.
Overall excellent condition with a minor mend and a couple mends on the backside only.
The dimensions of this great appliqué is 70x75 inches.
