This wonderful antique Wedding Ring quilt is so colorful with bolder colors at the rings of a solid orange and blue and then framed on the border with the 2 fabrics of orange and blue and hand bound with the blue.
For the binding edge the maker turned the front to the back and did a binding in that method then hand stitched it down.
This quilt was unwashed and has now had a couple gentle washes and was air dried. It appears really unused, so I did wash it since some light age toning showed and did a second bath that took care of the age toning overall.
So the quilt is in excellent condition.
No wear and I should add thankful for no color bleed in the wet wash.
There is a few places in the orange that had some light color change/lift that does not hurt the integrity of the quilt
A circa 1930’s-40’s quilt.
The hand quilting is very quality workmanship.
The makers placement of the fabrics was done with care and note how the makers placement did many of the rings with the same third fabric in the rings that matched the opposing ring.
So much detail in piecing the blocks and construction.
The dimensions are a very generous 81x91 inches. So easy to enjoy on many beds.
