This is an outstanding Postage Stamp, one inch blocks Irish Chain,, often called Aunt Jen’s Stamp Quilt.
This one is unused and appears to have never been washed and does not need it either. The condition is beautiful and as one views the fine hand quilting you can see this was a quilt made with love and care and attention to detail.
The small 1 inch blocks are amazing as there are so many of so many great fabrics.
A circa 1930’s beauty.
In addition to the fine piecework the quilter was a fine quilter with tiny hand quilting in-between the chain and also in the blocks. The hand quilting is done at 8-9 stitches per inch.
