This superb quilt came out of Shelbyville, Kentucky.
There’s a note attached that is was made around 1938 by Mary Jane Young, a time when many of Marie Webster designs were very popular, as they are also today and sought after by collectors and those that love her beautiful designs.
The delightful pieced and appliqué design is featured in the book Garden Of Quilts by Rosalind Webster Perry and Marty Frolli. A great collectors book I might add.

This beauty has been gently washed and is ready to enjoy.
The hand quilting is fine and detailed so look at the many images.
I saw upon close looking a minor abrasion on one of the yellow tulips near the edge as shown.
