This is the neatest quilt with fabrics from circa 1840-1860’s including some glazed chintz and then a few thrown in replacement repair fabrics from a later time.
The overall look is great and not seeing wear since some blocks were replaced, appliquéd over. All nicley hand quilted and what a great quilt with fabrics from a time period we don’t always see.
The tiny binding is original and this one won’t disappoint.
The tiny narrow binding is a characteristic of an early quilt.

This one has lots of class and integrity as a very old quilt and actually someone felt strongly enough to replace some of the apparently worn fabrics, which was probably deterioration of the specific fabric and not really wear.
The many pieces of triangles hand pieced and love this also as a study quilt or one to add to a scrappy quilt collection.
