Wonderful blocks of some cheddar, blues, shirtings, cadet blue, dots, reds, stripes, black prints, checks and much more.
This has a country quilt look and feel, as a cuddly one and one to use and enjoy.
A circa 1900’s hand quilted One Patch quilt. This quilted in the fan pattern.
The backing looks like a dyed lavender like shade of possible feedsacks. I would say this was scrap quilt and one that was made to use. It even has a neck protector at one end that I left on. OK,, my curiosity just got the better of me, so I took a peek under the neck cover and one can see the difference in the backing color as under it is a darker lavender shade since not exposed to time and light . It appears as just a cover and not due to wear under it. So leaving it on for now.
There is some minimal wear in just a few blocks as shown. Nothing major and would be easy to stitch up.
The dimensions are 68x77 inches on this cotton quilt.
