This scrappy antique Patchwork of Art quilt is quite outstanding.
The tiny pieces in the blocks are only 3/4 inch in size.
Imagine hand piecing this quilt.
There are 80 blocks of patchwork in this quilt. In each block of patchwork there are 113 blocks in each ,,, so that’s making 9,040 blocks not including the white blocks separating the “blocks” ..
Overall in excellent condition. To get a hand quilted one like in all these tiny pieces is a treasure of handwork and a true American antique. Upon very close study I found a few blocks with some minor surface wear and a few old looking repairs, but very insignificant.
A collector and museum quality quilt.
