This quilt is a work of a quilt artist. The appliqué of the feather and the star in the center and then the addition of the corner pieces. Add to that the outstanding pieced border. Note the layering look of the design.
A circa 1930’s quilt with the most detailed hand quilting patterns of feathers and close cross-hatching.
The condition is excellent on this Iowa quilt.
The colors of sea foam green and white makes this a decorators delight and one for many. I can see this in a modern New York City apartment or a country mountain home in Colorado. So many uses. Note some of the images taken in different lighting.
