Wonderful early antique quilt with lots of different fabrics in the blocks, an unsigned Album Block quilt. This pattern is often seen with names and the names are usually in script in the central part of the block. This pattern is also known as Christian Cross.
This circa 1870’s quilt is hand quilted and note the triple line strips in between the blocks.
Great fabrics of early purple, double pinks, a variety of browns and much more. One of the green blocks has a nice example of an early circa 1860’s fabric as there may be more from that earlier time period, but dating the quilt to the newest fabric in the quilt.
Some minor age toning and a few small age patina spots. No wear is noted.
