The Pineapple and Strawberries quilt is such a delight in quilting making.
This appliqué quilt with the fruit of pineapples that often were considered a symbol of “Welcome and Hospitality “ years ago. The strawberries, another fruit symbolizing love, passion, and healing.

This quilt is from Missouri.
This pattern was illustrated in the 1950’s in the McCalls Needlework and Crafts publication. It’s a Paragon Kit quilt with lots of details.
The hand work is fantastic as is the fine hand quilting, appliqué and the embroidered accents on the fruit. The quilting includes fine crosshatch quilting and scallops in between the Applqiue.
It has an inner border and finished off with a green binding.
