This is a truly stunning Touching Star in a Star quilt in solids, very possibly Mennonite.
The fine wool fabrics and the depth of colors make this a standout.
The black, red and green Stars on a black ground lends this to a fantastic art quilt. One that joys the eye appeal.
Add to that the blocks that are set on point on the border. The blocks include some blue and tans plus the red and green that makes this pop and frames the 16 blocks.
It has a fabulous backing of madder fabric, so no lack of quality in the materials used.
This circa 1890’s hand quilted quilt is in excellent condition.
