Historical highly detailed Order of the Eastern Star Quilt with provenance.
The officers of the Star of the West Chapter in the Chicago, Illinois area made the quilt.
It was presented to the presiding officer as a gift at her term of office.
It was the chapters 40th year and everything was Ruby.
Dated 1942 and signed by so many.
What a wonderful treasure and piece of history on cloth.
This one would be great to search. It’s from the Chicago, Illinois area.
The quilt looks Ike it was really just stored and unused, maybe displayed. It has some minor age toning as it’s unwashed and noting no wear.
This would be a wonderful addition to any quilt collection, both signatures, fraternal, presentation and dated quilts.
The provenance is great as there’s an original note that came with the quilt.
The dimensions are 81x81 inches.
So quite generous in size.
