This collectible design, one of the Mountain Mist collection of patterns that were found on the paper wrappers of the batting from back in the 1930’s and later is Martha’s Vineyard.
This pattern appeared on the wrappers in 1931. It is pattern number 28 of the Mountain Mist series.
Add this to your collection of sought after quilts in this category of collecting. It’s also so usable.
The maker used the same layout of the design plus the border and the same quilting patterns like the wrapper showed.
This hand appliquéd and nicely hand quilted beauty is in excellent condition.
It displays beautifully .
I note some very minor binding wear in a few spots.
