Fantastic original Marie Webster Sunbonnet Lassies crib quilt with the multiple border and the corner of blue patchwork.
The “Lassies” are walking around with their umbrellas/parasols. The quilting design in the center area is also original to the pattern.
The condition is excellent and no wear or issues to note.
This design is imaged in the Marie Webster Garden of Quilts book, by Rosalind Webster Perry and Marty Folli. a great collectors book of Marie Webster patterns and designs and the history of her.
As noted in the book there were 6 baby quilts of her designs that were published in the Ladies Home Journal, August 1912. This was one of the six.
This charming quilt is hand quilted and the girls are appliquéd on by machine.
