Glorious Red and White Single Irish Chain Quilt With Border

This outstanding red and white Ohio Single Irish Chain quilt with triple rod hand quilting is one for many to enjoy. 

The hand quilting was done by a skilled quilter. The high amount of hand quilting almost gives it a trapunto look. 

A circa 1880’s quilt that has been gently washed and is ready to enjoy.

Note the blocks border that frames this beauty.  Nice smaller scale blocks make up the design.  The blocks are about 11/4 inches in size . 

One can see this quilt was cared for and not really used in its lifetime. 

The dimensions are 75x76 inches. Shown on a queen bed.
