Flower Garden of Miniature Sized Hexagons Quilt
Flower Garden of Miniature Sized Hexagons Quilt
This is a truly museum quality, outstanding, small pieced fussy cut Flower Garden quilt with the green trail of hexagons between the gardens framed by a green outer border.
Some of the details of this high-quality Flower Garden is that many of the hexagons are fussy cut, meaning many of the pieces a design in the print is featured, which adds lots more detail and credibility to the artist that made this quilt, a circa 1930s quilt.
One of the cluster of blocks has fussy cut daisy flowers print.
The single pieces are only 3/4 inches across the block and the garden of blocks is about 3 1/2 inches.
The hand quilting is at 9-10 stitches per inch. It is also quilted by the piece in each single hexagon.
There’s 3,344 pieces in this quilt not counting the green hexagons in between the blocks.
I gave this cotton quilt a gentle fresh wash and it is ready to be enjoyed. The condition is excellent.
A note to add, this is an exceptional quilt in many respects and highly collectible.
The dimension of this standout are a very generous 76x90 inches. It’s shown on a queen bed.
