When I saw this quilt in person, it just was thrilling to see such a fine authentic little treasure. And a treasure it is.
The fabrics are one for the fabric lover,,, and the tiny small piecework is another. Early cotton and silks make up this doll quilt.
I look at this little quilt as one telling a story .
Then looking at the back side one will find names and a date and location . A date and the words , “To Mother” “aged 68, 1892” ,, and “To Ellie” , Ludow, Vt . All this is in tiny cross-stitch work. The details are so appealing on this little special Patchwork. This sweet Patchwork has some wear. Looks all original.
The dimensions are 10x10 inches. This is a great one to frame if desired.
