When we look at an old quilt, we see color, design, fabrics and workmanship.
This quilt one will enjoy the early fabrics used in the making as this is a circa 1870’s quit with some 1860’s fabrics also used in piecing it.
For fabric lovers, there’s wonderful madders, chrome yellow, browns, double pinks and so much more.
This quilt has survived quite well and even appears like it wasn't really used much if any ,, and is unwashed, only to note minor age toning / spots that I saw upon studying it and enjoying the fabrics.
I did not see any wear or repairs.
As I look at the pattern I see a 4 block in the block with corner pieces.
The dimensions are 74x80 inches on this New York quilt.
