Imagine a quilt tucked away since around the 1930’s.
This is an unused and appears never washed circa 1930’s Double Wedding Ring quilt. With that being said, I feel the quality of this beauty that the past owners took care of this antique quilt and it was their “good“ quilt. Not really a quilt to be used or maybe just out periodically to be enjoyed as one they “saved” as we may say for that special occasion.
The fine hand quilting is done at 11 stitches per inch and that is tiny stitching.
So the condition is excellent and needs nothing but to be enjoyed.
The maker used prints in the arcs of the ring and a solid lavender and green at the intersections, making this a feature of the pattern and then the same lavender was used to do the binding.
The dimensions are a generous 71x99 inches. Shown on a queen bed and this is also a quilt that could be enjoyed either direction.
