This is a highly collectible American patriotic Constitution Bicentennial vintage quilt made in possibly 1987 commemorating the 200th Anniversary of the United States Constitution.
Note all the details on this RWB themed quilt with characteristics of the event.
We see the Statue of Liberty with the date July 4th,1776, the Liberty Bell, an American Eagle, the American flag, the Holy Bible and more.
Note the scroll under the statue, “That this Nation under God, shall have a new birth of Freedom…..” Abraham Lincoln
The ground is hand quilted with star patterns.
The inner framed border and the binding edge is done in a RWB small blocks strips.
The quilt is all hand quilted and appears to be hand appliqué and all handwork.
All the elements are great for an Americana, Patriotic quilt collector or anyone that loves quilts.
The dimensions are 63x80 inches and I gave this quilt a fresh wash..
