Basket of Cheddar Quilt with a Double Sawtooth Border

On this New York Basket quilt the handwork, hand quilting is so fine and detailed. 

A circa 1870’s quilt with the use of a chrome orange, cheddar color gives this quilt so much depth and appeal.

The overall condition is excellent. One tiny mend and after a bath a minor light spot of a ‘reddish like circle” remain. 

This beauty had a first wash and was unwashed and actually looked unused.

The quilt has its original  binding and no wear is noted.
