Autumn Leaves Appliqué Quilt

An outstanding antique quilt, the Autumn Leaves Appliqué quilt. 

The hand quilting is so fine on this beauty as is the applique work.

The selection of fabrics for the leaves that meander on the inner and outer borders are appealing as is the central design.

Several of the fabrics are great novelty fabrics. 

This antique, circa 1930’s quilt was unwashed and has now had one gentle wash and was air dried.  

Everything about this quilt is wonderful, as the condition is excellent. It looks like it is unused and as mentioned has had a recent wash. 

This design is one that’s similar to an Autumn Leaves quilt  that won high awards at the Chicago 1933 Century of Progress Quilt Contest.

The dimensions are 79x82 inches.

The pattern is one that the quilt can be turned in either direction on a bed if wishing to do so. Shown on a queen bed.
