Early Rose and Tulips Quilt

This is a wonderful 4 block plus 2 half blocks of the appliqué Tulips and Roses quilt . 

Circa 1880’s

This Indiana quilt is in excellent condition. 

Fine small hand quilting stitches. 

The quilt shows well with red, sage green,  and some touches of cheddar 

Note how the maker has 4 blocks and 2 half blocks which the quilt can be turned either direction with those half blocks at the top or bottom of a bed.

Looks great on a wall too . 

All hand quilted and has some hand appliqué with also some machine applique on the stems and leaves. 

The dimensions are 82x87 inches. Shown on a queen bed.
