This amazing quilt top, a Double Ax Head is made with the most wonderful antique fabrics.
A circa 1890’s top with many fabrics being earlier is a fabric study in itself.
Hand pieced with precision. Note the curved blocks.
Overall excellent condition with a minor area on the edge with age toning.
One can enjoy this as it is or have it finished, however one wishes, be it hand quilting, long-arm quilted or used for another purpose, it is a beauty.
