The size of the single blocks in the 9 patch are only 31\/2 inches in size. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI added this one to the collection of Piecework of Blocks-Shapes, because it used not only square of different sizes, but triangles in the construction of the blocks. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe design uses a basic 9 Patch, but then adding the little Evening Stars in 5 of the blocks is a great way to show off the scale and piecework. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHand quilted with some double rod quilting in the  white blocks . \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnother great detail is the red ground using the same fabric that was used in the stars, instead of a traditional white ground.
