Sold Antiques
Quilts and other items on this page are already sold, but I encourage one to check out my sold items, as I occassionally will come across another item that is similar, of course not exact. Remember quilts are one of a kind and the uniqueness of them make them a very reasonable collectible textile. Remember each quilt is made by an individual woman or child or man or boy or possibly a group of people and there won't be another precisely like the one sold. In my opinoin, vintage and antique quilts on the market today are a great value overall especially when buying condition, quality, workmanship and design.
Offering this beauty of a quilt, Lady of the Lakes. The condition of the quilt is excellent and unused, never washed. All hand quilted at a nice 8-9 spi. A coversational indigo fabric used to make the quilt and it is also hand bound with an indigo fabric. Hand pieced too. This quilt makes a great wall quilt and looks fabulous on a bed and great for a collection. Massachusetts

Offering this fabulous whole cloth chintz quilt with the cut out corners that were made for the early 4 poster beds. The size is very generous and can actually fit many of todays beds. The condition of this quilt would be considered mint, as it doesn't show wear and has never been washed. The quilt was probably just put up and never was used after being made. A true treasure and a fabulous textile. It has a glaze finish and since unwashed still very evident. The quilting is done in a clam shell like pattern and is stitched at 8 spi. It has a thin batting and lays so nicely on a bed. The separate binding is stitched on by hand. Also what adds to this quilt is the bars backing and it is done with some wonderful early fabric as shown. When one thinks this quilt is now approximately 170-180 years old and so fine and gorgeous. Take a look at the close ups and imagine how life was back then and wonder about the maker of this quilt. What kind of family was it from? What kind of work did they do? One figures this would have been purchased fabric, as it was not a scrap quilt. Acquired in Pennsylvania.
(Item: Q-774)
This interesting pattern,,, a strippie with flowers and vines and an applique of red and green in the strips and the border, so called it a Strippie Rose Vine. Actually couldn't find a published name for this pattern. It must have been published, as I have another quilt quite similar to this also on the web site, Q-754 in Gallery 1. This quilt is in very good condition and is ready to enjoy. It is finely hand quilted at 10 spi. There is tulip quilting patterns in the alternate strips of the quilt. The applique is stitched on by hand and well done. For the binding the front is turned to the back and hand stitched down. Lots of applique , as the red and green pieces are appliqued on the ground. This quilt originated out of Indiana,,, and the other quilt listed on the web site is also from Indiana. Curious if the 2 quilts came from the same family. Indiana.
(Item: Q-771)

Offering this special early Sampler Blocks quilt in "as is" condition. It is all hand appliqued and is also nicely hand quilted. There is lots of fine hand quilting on the quilt. 25 different blocks. Of the 25, approximately 13 have popping of fabrics in various stages, several about 4-5 are good and the others have various wear. This was a quilt I personally kept intending to do some restoration, but have decided to offer it for sale. The binding could be replaced with antique fabric if desired, as it was trimmed off at some time many years ago due to lots of wear, but the ground fabric is in very good condition and shows no wear or damage. There is some age marks or fold lines and the quilt has not been wet washed. With the discussion on Facebook with several quilt historians and enthusiast, one of the blocks appears to be similar to the Apple Pie Ridge Star block.( Please correct me if I am incorrect about this). The quilt could be Quaker, but I will leave the research to those that specialize in that field. These early dated quilts are not easily found, and being a sampler too. Acquired in Massachusetts.
(Item: Q-731)

Some of the names on the quilt include Phyllis Dobbs, Wayne Sutherland, Elsie Hicks, Doris Hutchison, Little Joe Proctor, Amos Tate, Jerry Lord, Glenna Lambert, Lonnie Lee Mears, Joan Cooley and many more. The condition is very good and the quilt is all hand quilted at a really nice 10 spi thinking that probably one person did the quilting. Offering this great feedsack quilt called Star of the Bluegrass,,, or also thought of as a 8 Point Star in a Star. Condition of the quilt is excellent. It's made with feedsacks and floursacks. A wonderful example of what was made in that time period when so many of the reusable feed and flour sacks were desired as a cloth to recycle to use for clothing, quilts, aprons and so much more. This is an important quilt to collectors and those with serious interest in collecting signature quilts or those from Baltimore, Maryland. There is no question as to where is was made, as there are many signatures, it is dated July 1847 and also on the quilt in the blocks is Baltimore. The quilt although, not a typical Baltimore Album, might be considered one just prior to that time of those quilts as it is really earlier than the Baltimore Album quilts. It also has a wonderful border and the addition of the original separate fringe, add to the quality of this quilt. The fabrics are wonderful with some chintz and cottons used in the applique. The quilt is in excellent condition and has never been washed. It is hand quilted and hand appliqued. It is a true antique in every sense of the word,, and one that would be admired and appreciated. These quilts don't come along every day, as they often end up in collections or musuems. Serious inquiries please. ( more information coming)

This 4 Block red and white applique quilt has a wonderful pattern, which I have had trouble finding a name for this pattern. (If anyone know, drop me a note) It looks to be one of the paper cut patterns seen frequently in Pennsylvania. The quilt has wear , which is mostly on the border and binding . One approx 9 inch by1 inch area of the border has some of it gone as shown in the images. There is one of the big blocks that has some minimal wear, as shown. The hand quilting is very nice, as it is 12-15 spi. Also the quilting patterns are varied. The quilt is soft, but would be a neat display quilt and can be folded or shown to its best advantage. From Indiana

The replaced binding is stitched on by hand using vintage feedsack fabric. A very nice usable quilt that has good workmanship. Hand quilted at a nice 9-10 spi. Very nice small stitching and quilted by the piece. Hand bound. See how the pattern overlaps itself and reverses the colors of the pattern. Such an effective use of piecing. Great quilt to display, even to use as wall art, as I consider it to be. Imagine the maker doing this work in the 30's after the Great Depression and enjoying having the fabric to make a 2 color quilt. Excellent quilt to add to a collection. So much work went into making this quilt. From the D. Townsend estate, Kansas City, Mo.
(Item: Q-646)
This vintage quilt is in mint condition and is unused . Never washed and is ready to use and enjoy. All hand quilted at a very nice 9 spi. The hexagon pieces are on the smaller size, only 1 3/8 inch across. The edge was done in the knife edge style, by turning the front and back together and stitching it together by hand. Lots of stitches and with all the points on the binding edge makes lots of work. There is also some fussy cut pieces, where the maker centered the pattern of the fabric in the hexagon. Came from a Washington County Illinois estate. I was told it from the Rue estate.

This is a wonderful Double Wedding Ring quilt made in the 1930's using solid color fabrics. Amish wedding ring quilts were made using solids, but I have no provenance with the quilt other than it was purchased in Texas. It is in excellent condition. With thoughts it may have been a brides quilt as there are hearts quilted in the corners and inbetween the arcs in the off white areas. Very well quilted at 9-10 spi. It was also hand pieced. The separate pink binding was stitched on by hand using very tiny stitches. The solid colors of blue, gold, green, lavender and pink make up the rainbow of colors in the rings. Nice scalloped edge. Wedding ring quilts are usually made using a multitude of prints, so to find one using solids make them more unusual. Ready to enjoy and displays well. A fine quilt and a piece that could be used as art , even modern design.

This pictorial 1950's vintage Cowboy quilt is a pretty neat pictorial quilt. Look at the central cowboy and the cowboy and cowgirl sitting on the fence. The size of 44x66 would consider it more of a crib size or throw for a twin or it makes a great wall piece too. The condition is good and it does have some age or storage spots,, as shown. There is some light wear on some of the applique pieces, but if just using for a display quilt, it works great. It is all hand quilted at 6-8 spi and also the applique is all done by hand. This is a great last quarter century, circa 1880's, Log Cabin antique quilt. It is in excellent condition and looks to be unused. It has a wonderful assortment of fabrics making up the smaller scale logs. They are only 3/4 inch wide. The hand quilting is extra nice too at 9-10 spi. The tiny binding is stitched by hand with the back being turned forward to the front. The outer border was made using cheater fabric that looks like a tiny pieced log pattern. The maker had a eye for fabric and had the thought for using this fabric for the border to go along with the pattern of the quilt. Displays well either hanging or on a bed or however one wishes. From Franklin County, Greencastle, Pennsylvania
(Item: Q-610)
This is a wonderful well made double Wedding Ring quilt that is unused and has never been washed. The information I acquired from the African- American man from whom I purchased this quilt from, said his mother had made the quilt. He was from Phoenix, AZ, but unsure where she lived originally. The condition is excellent. All hand quilted at 7-8 spi. A very pretty quilting design was quilted inbetween the circles. Note the separate, hand stitched binding, how 2 colors of fabric were used. Lavender on the 2 sides and yellow used on the top and bottom edge. A nice assortment of prints in the rings with connecting pieces of lavender and yellow. An excellent quilt that displays well.
(Item: Q-608)
This attractive yellow and white quilt has pieced 2 color baskets and the birds and the handles are appliqued. The basket and birds are machine appliqued with the birds having an embroidery stitch outlining the birds. A nice different border too with the extra stitching and the binding is done in the knife edge style. The yellow is a nice sateen cotton. Condition is mint for this quilt, as it appears was unused and has now had one wet wash. The hand quilting is very good at 8 spi. The different techniques used in making this quilt makes me wonder about the maker. I am not sure if this was a published pattern or one put together from a couple differnt patterns. Note the different activities of the birds, sitting and flying and in different positions on the basket. The quilt came from Indiana.
(Item: Q-607)

Looks great used in so many ways. Just pick out the color you want,, it surely has it!
(Item: Q-603)
This is a wonderful pattern and the condition of this quilt is mint, as it looks unused and has had one rinsing. The pattern Mohawk Trail or sometimes called Baby Bunting shows the variation of how a fan block can be put together. This maker used a variety of prints for the triangles and a pretty solid blue for the base of the fan. The quality of workmanship is very good looking at the points in the fan. The hand quilting is also fine at 8-9 spi. Lots of extra quilting went into this quilt as one can see the rows of quilting in the fan base and a pretty pattern in the white ground areas. The separate binding was stitched on by machine. Both hand and machine pieced. Generous in size so may be used on a variety of beds or great to hang. Acquired in the Boonsville, Indiana area.
(Item: Q-602)
This happy-looking Mountain Mist patterned quilt called Basket of Flowers one of the Mountain Mist patterns, known from the wrapping from the batting. One might recall that quilt patterns were on the outer wrapping of the old cotton batting. This quilt is in excellent condition. It has fine tiny quilting at 9-10 spi and is also nicely hand appliqued. The separate binding is put on by hand. In my years of buying and collecting, this is the first quilt I have owned with this particular pattern. It has a wonderful double inner border with an outer flying geese variation border. The quilt is made of all solid cotton fabrics. As noted, in one of the Mountain Mist books on page 9, "No quilt could better combine the charms of the old-fashioned and modern than this ever-popular pieced basket with its appliqued , pastel colored blooms." The quilt has been washed so is clean and ready to enjoy.
An excellent quilt for a collection or and it displays well. From Illinois

This 8 Point String Stars quilt looks to be in unused condition and has never been washed. Actually the top is dated 1934 in the botton corner as shown, but I feel it was quilted later. I would surmise the quilting was done in the last 20 years. The batting is cotton and it is all hand quilted at 5 spi in the Baptist fan quilting pattern. A variety of cotton fabrics were used in making the stars, lots of little prints and solids from the turn of the century to the 1930's.For the bindinig the back wa brought forward to the front and hand stitched down. This a a neat detailed crib quilt in excellent condition with a few slight age spots on the edge as shown. The expressions on the faces of these babies is so varied. Hand quilted at a nice 9 spi and all hand embroidered. It's a little sampler of blocks as each one is different, such as the child praying, holding a jack-in-the-box, sucking the thumb (did any of us really do that?), playing with toys and more. The separate binding is put on by hand. This was a kit quilt with nice workmanship. I call it the Gerber Babies.. Illinois.

The separate red binding is also put on by hand. The size is generous too. This was a kit quilt and the maker did great workmanship. The quilting really stands out. There is a quilt like this in the book "American Quilt Classics from The Collection of Patricia Cox". The quilt looks great on a bed or a wall and displays well in other ways too. It reminds me of the flowers from some of Georgia O'Keeffe's artistic paintings. From Lancaster County Pennsylvania area.
(Item: Q-573)

This special embroidered quilt with many blocks depicting the frontier way and famous people of the west. Condition is excellent and looks to be unwashed. Size is 72x81 inches. Well made and hand embroidered and hand quilted. Hand bound with a separate binding. This pattern actually came out in a Nebraska newspaper , I believe in the 1930's, and these were the suggested colors of gray background and pink for the sashing. It is also a cotton sateen fabric, as was also suggested. Some of the blocks include embroidery of General George Custer, Sitting Bull, Wild Bill Hickok, Buffalo Bill, the Coronado Expedition, Martha Jane Canary-Calamity Jane, John Brown, Buffalo, The Little Giant-Stephen A Douglas, Black Robe-Pierre Jean De Smet S.J.,The Covered Wagon States and others. This really has a medallion style with a bigger central block and other blocks around it. A great pictorial quilt for the collector of embroidery, western, political, history, Americana and anyone that wants to enjoy of piece of art and a wonderful quilt. Displays well. Nebraska origin.
(Item: Q-570)
This wool and mixed fabrics star quilt is in excellent condition. Some of the fabrics in additon to wools is corduroy, velvet, etc. A super graphic quilt on black ground, but has a suttle feel and sophistication. It is more unusual to see a star quilt pieced in a crazy quilt style. Great use of colors in the pieces. The stars are outlined briar-stitched. The hand stitched binding is turned from the back and stitched to the front. The backing is pieced in 3 different fabrics. This quilt displays well and looks to be possibly Mennonite or Amish, but I would guess Midwest origin. A nice variation of a lone star by adding the extra stars. Displays well.
(Item: Q-569)
This is a very nice vintage stars quilt made with a small scale red print fabric and white ground. Condition is excellent. A couple minute spots, as shown. No wear. The scalloped border is bound wiht a separate red binding stitched on by hand. A nice quilt to decorate with or actually use in many ways. These pictorials don't come along every day. Matter in fact, I am offering a quilt pattern or full kit for this quilt and information can be found on my kits and patterns page.
(Item: Q-567)
This popular pattern called a Log Cabin quilt is in very good condition. It is pieced on a foundation and it's put together block by block. The center logs/blocks are all in blue and white and it is bordered with red and white log blocks which really makes this layout of color very striking. This is really more of a summer quilt, as there is no batting. The quilt has a signature on the back corner EB Spinning and the number 26 in old ink. The quilt looks to be older than 1926, so it may have been given to this person at that time or it has some other significance. The quilt was recently rinsed and there are some slight splits in about 5 of the white log strips, shown, and a small bleach like spot in a blue log. All this could be restored/repaired if desired, but not necessary to enjoy. The pattern and size make this a great wall quilt and also super on a bed. The size is good at 87x87. Western, Pa area.

There are wreaths, diamonds, leaves and many more quilting patterns throughout the quilt. The separate binding was hand stitched on. Colors of red, green and pumpkin on a white ground. Pat Sloan, designer, made a modern version of this pattern shown in the Nov/Dec 2010 McCalls Quilting issue. Take a good look at the pictures as they show the quality of this late 30's or 40's quilt. The quilt displays well. St. Louis , Illinois area.

This antique crazy quilt is in excellent /mint condition, as it appears to be unused and has never been washed. Great variety of cotton fabrics and a real study of fabrics ranging probably 30 years. The quilt is tied. The front is turned to the back and hand stitched down for the binding. The batting feels to be cotton. The backing, well it is great indigo fabrics. The back fabrics alone is almost worth the price of the quilt. There's 2 different fabrics on the backside. A quilt that displays well and is enjoyable to look at whether on the wall or on a bed or other ideal place in the home.
(Item: Q-555)

Grandmothers Flower Garden Quilt- This quilt is in very good to excellent condition. Generous in size at 83x102. It is hand quilted at 9 spi. This is a very colorful quilt and has the group of, what I call , green leaves in between the hexagon flowers . This pattern also forms a star like when viewing in full. The nice edge done in a row of yellow blocks finishes off the quilt. The backing is also a solid yellow. Nicely hand bound too. The small pieces of only 1 1/4 inch in diameter made lots of hand work for the maker. Also some of the blocks are fussy cut with the pattern being centered in the block. From the Evans estate, Martha, Ok.
(Item: Q-552)
This Chain Variation quilt is in good condition and is all hand quilted at a nice even 11 spi. The small blocks are 1
1/2 inches square. More of a fabric quilt with all the fabrics used in constructing the quilt. A red gingham print
binding was stitched on by hand. Some indigos and double pinks and plaids are included in the blocks. The quilt has
had a bath and is clean. There are a few slight age spots and a handfull of brown blocks with some fabric
deterioration, but they blend in and if desired could be easily replaced with 1880's fabric. A very pleasing quilt
that displays well. Virginia
(Item: Q-551)
Wow,, does this quilt pop when seeing it hanging or displayed. It has great visual appeal. A big 4 block pattern quilt
with a border on 2 sides. All hand quilted at 6-7 spi and also hand appliqued. The conditon is excellent with no wear
other than noted on the binding. The separate red binding is stitched on by hand. Some of the binding has been replaced
by antique red fabric, some has slight wear, and there's a couple professioinal mends. It is clean and ready to enjoy.
I called this a Tulip pattern applique having a folky applique cheddar ring that surrounds the pattern. There are
tulips and ferns quilted in the ground areas. For a real visual quilt take a good look at this one and enjoy the makers
design. Makes one wonder who the maker was,,,,, The quilt came from a Gadston, Alabama estate, as I was told.
(Item: Q-548)
This is a beautiful applique quilt with blooms of magnolias. The quilt is in excellent condition and is ready to
enjoy,, been washed and is clean and fresh. It is all hand quilted at a nice 7 spi and also hand appliqued very well.
The separate pink binding is stitched on by hand. This was a kit quilt and a popular kit at that, kit quilts came out
in the 1920's, 30's, 40's and still do. Matter in fact I just added another magnolia quilt to the web site,, only
difference is the other quilt has a narrow pink strip appliqued circling the floral center. Take a look at it too,
quilt q-545. Would make a nice pair of quilts if one desired, as they really compliment each other. This quilt still
shows faintly the blue dots for the quilting lines. This quilt has very good workmanship and displays well. Size is
76x88. Acquired in CA.
(Item: Q-546)
This floral flowers applique quilt, Magnolia Blooms, is in excellent condition. It is hand quilted at 8-9 spi and also
nicely hand appliqued. Beautiful shades of pinks with green leaves and brown stems. The separate pink binding is hand
stitched on. The style of the medallion central focus of the quilt and the extra flowers in the corners and blooms on
the sides, give it a very attractive look. The additioin of embroidery on the flowers, leaves and stems give the quilt
an extra touch of beauty. This was a kit quilt, but has been washed at some time, maybe just once or twice so dots
don't show. Illinois
(Item: Q-545)
This graphic blue and white Drunkards Path quilt is in excellent condition. All hand quilted at a nice 7-8 spi. Looks
to be hand pieced too. This is a wonderful and popular color to use in decorating. The same blue fabric is used
throughout the quilt. The separate blue binding of a polka dot fabric was stitched on by hand. Illinois
(Item: Q-544)
This quilt is a real cutie,,, the applique dogs,, Scotties,, or Westies,, I'm not sure,, but it's sure a neat pattern.
The condition of the quilt is very good. The setting of the pattern with the pieced 3 bars of green, red and yellow
between the dogs adds charm and an unusual variation. Colorful fabrics used for the dogs. The quilt is also hand
quilted in red and blue thread. It is hand quilted at 6 spi. The rebound binding has been stitched on by hand. The
backing is the same green found in the bars. It makes a nice youth size quilt and would display well hanging also.
Great for lovers of dogs and animals or collectors of quilts that are generally harder to find.
(Item: Q-543)
This Scotch Terrier's quilt has so much going for it.. Condition is like mint and so very nice,,, the hand quilting is
fabulous,, at 13 spi. A quilt with a pretty scalloped border and a separate blue binding hand stitched on. Unused and
only had one probable rinse or light wash, so it's clean and ready to enjoy. The size of 48x66 makes it either a small
youth quilt or a crib quilt.. anyway one looks at it, it displays well, either hanging or used on a bed or display
rack. Also this quilt has much appeal to the dog lover,, as I was calling it a Scottie dog quilt, until I discoveed it
was a Wheeler Brooks pattern. Laura Wheeler and Alice Brooks were names/designers used by Needlecraft Seervice.
(Item: Q-542)
This blue and white quilt with several blue fabrics is an autograph/signature quilt. Sometimes called friendship or
presentation quilts. The names and initials are embroidered on what appears to be by each individual. It is hand
quilted at 6-7 spi and quilted in the clamshell pattern and straightline patterns. The separate blue binding is hand
stitched. There are a few nice repairs on the binding done with correct same age fabric. The quilt is in good
condition, used some, been washed , but no real wear, with a couple small smudges,as shown. Some of the names on the
quilt include Wretha R Cory, Mary B Cory, Ethel Woodward, Lena Ward, Mrs Edd C Sanford, Ollie Milmer, Mrs. Leggett, Mrs
JJ Ward, Anna Donaldson, Ola Hodgins, Sunshine Brown, Amanda Ward, Lula Nixon, LuLu Cunninsham, Elsie Sanford, Mrs W.
A. Lowell, etc. From Kansas. This could be a good research quilt with all the names on it and that it was acquired in
Kansas may give the researcher a start.
(Item: Q-541)
This attractive basket pattern quilt is also call Berry Basket, Fruit Basket, Hanging Basket and also known as Cherry
Basket as I am calling it, so find one you like and give it a pattern name!! There are flowers quilted coming out of
the top of the basket, flowers quilted in the edge triangles and a pretty quilting pattern, like a flower between the
blocks. Fine hand quilting at 12-14 spi,, and that is one side counted only. The appliqued handles of the baskets are
also very finely appliqued with tiny stitches. For the binding the back is brought forward to the front and hand
stitched down. There is some slight wear on some of the original binding. The quilt otherwise is in great condition.
The quilt displays well and with the size of 78x95, a generous size for some of the bigger beds if wanted. The baskets
all run the same direction, so it also makes for a very good wall quilt in addition to a bed quilt. There are 30
baskets in all, 5 across and 6 down. Lots of work went into this 1930's pretty quilt.
(Item: Q-540)

This excellent condition quilt with patriotic colors of red, white and blue in a pattern of a cross-like
pattern and stars in-between. Actually not sure of pattern name. (If anyone knows pattern I appreciate help on this.)
Unwashed, near mint quilt was probably just used for display. A large quilt 84x99 which can be used for some of todays
bigger beds. Very nice quilting at 9-10 spi. The pattern is set off by the triple border and the quilt is hand bound
with a separate binding. The quilt displays well and also works to display it on a wall. Lancaster, Pa area. This quilt will be in an upcoming exhibit in Houston, Tx this fall at Quilt Festival.
This information was passed onto me by an appreciated email:
Brackman 1991 “Our Country”, published Kansas City Star 1939. Unless KC Star got the pattern from someone else, predating their publication, your quilt is probably subsequent to 1939, maybe (just thinking) not until December 1941 (Pearl Harbor) or after. With that name, one would think the patriotic coloring was probably suggested with the pattern.
(Item: Q-537)
This is an excellent condition Indian camp blanket that has great colors and a good feel. It's cotton and is self bound
on the 2 ends. Size 70x75. The pattern is very desirable so take a look and decide if this blanket is for you. Washed

This Depression time Dresden Plate quilt is in near mint condition, never washed and looks to be pretty much unused
having only a small storage spot in the sashinig, as shown. The very nice hand quilting is at 7 spi. The plates were
hand appliqued using a button hole stitch. The separate yellow gold binding was put on by hand. The sashing and border
of a goldenrod color make this an attractive quilt with colorful plates of multicolor nice cottons. The generous size
of 99x77 make this a quilt that can be used on some of the double or maybe even a queen bed if turned with the length
of the quilt used across for the width. This quilt will brighten a room and could up lift the mood. Look at the
pictures and see all the nice quilting. Virginia area .

adds alot of character to the piece. Light oak honey finish, good condition. 48x48 inches across, when leaves are down

finish on the top too.

Offering this 1950's wagon wheel headboard for that cowboy/girl room. It's 34 " tall and 41 " wide.Fix up those beds and add some great western bedcovers! Please note on one of the beds at the top of the headboard , is notched off. Looks like a slice of the wood is gone from the curve.. Not noticible, but wanted to note this as shown in the images. Still a great price for them. Sorry, but I do not pack and ship furniture,, so purchases will need to be picked up and buyer make any arrangements for that. Thankyou.

This is a neat old quilt with good color and a pattern you'll enjoy. It's known as a Peony or a North Carolina Lily
pattern with applique green stems. This quilt wasn't cared for at some time in it's life. Some fading, fugitvie green,
and a small wood-like burn spot in a flower piece in just one piece as shown, also a few stains. No real wear,, but
could use some TLC or just enjoy it as it is. Another bath could help too if desired. Hand quilted at 7-8 spi. Hand
and machine pieced. The separate binding was put on by machine. Unusual sashing with the strip of red in the green
between the blocks. It's a great quilt to fold or display in the way the way one will appreciate it. Oh, and what a
Christmas time quilt to add to your decor! Missouri estate.

What a different pattern of applique rings. The central pattern of applique rings with little pots of posies and
the border having the green rings with the little flowerlets. This is the first time I have ever had or seen this
pattern of the Mountain Mist collection of quilt patterns. (I wonder how many of these have been located in the
collecting world.) A pretty quilt with nice quilting and applique. Hand quilted at 7-8 spi. A separate hand bound
binding. This quilt is in the Mountain Mist Blue Book of quilts on page 54. This was pattern #95. I noticed in the book
it mentions this pattern was retired. This is a great one for a collection, especially if seeking these quilts. Quilted
in the way the pattern recommended. Great example. Excellent condition. Circa 1940's.
(Item: Q-532)
This well made Grandmothers Mosaic Flower Garden variation is in great condition, as it looks to be unused and has just
had a rinse. All hand quilted at a nice 8 spi with an inner quilted circle in each block. This is also considered a one
patch quilt pattern with all the blocks being hexagons. The muslin backing was brought forward to the front and whipped
down for the binding. Pretty solids of yellow set with all the different prints in the pattern. Some of the fabrics
include feedsack fabrics. This is also a hand pieced quilt. Lots of time to piece all the hexagons. Ready to use or
display. Kentucky origin.
(Item: Q-531)
This traditional grandmothers Flower Garden quilt is in very good condition and is ready to use. This is a very
colorful quilt with lots of cotton fabrics and also has some feedsack fabrics too. The hexagons have the yellow centers
and the 2nd row having solid colors and the 3rd row has multitudes of print fabrics. There are groups of 2 matching
fabrics each in the 3rd ring. The separate lavender binding is stitched on by hand. One edge is bound in white. It is
hand quilted at 7 spi. The hexagons are approx 2 inches across. The size of 83x84 makes this a good quilt for a larger
bed. Displays well.
(Item: Q-530)
This original wool Capps Indian trade blanket is in fantastic, near mint condition. It is known as a striped "Osage"
pattern shown in a 1913 catalog. A similar blanket is shown in the book Language of the Robe by Bob Kapoun on page 85.
It was well taken care of and has the first Capps postage stamp label, as shown. This is a simply stripes pattern of
the trade blanket patterns. If it weren't for just 5 or so small spots on the red felt binding(moth nibbles?), I could
call this blanket very mint,, especially for a wool blanket now about 100 year old! This blanket has the simple
elegance of fine mission furniture. As Barry Friedman mentions in his book Chasing Rainbows on page 74, "the Capps
blankets maintained their simple beauty from their beginning in 1892 to the end in 1917". There is some good reading
about the Capps blanket line in this this chapter of Barry's book. What a wonderful collectors blanket that displays
well and has the condition to match. A special blanket indeed.
(Item: B-529)
Wow,, this is one of the more unusual color combinations of the Esmond Indian pattern blankets. This camp blanket is in
very good condition and is clean , ready to hang or display in however one likes. The colors of green, blue, brown and
a gold like mustard make up the graphics of this beautiful patterened blanket. Bound on the 2 ends with the satin
blanket binding. A blanket similar to this is shown in Barry Friedman's book Chasing Rainbows on page 258. This
blanket is a good size with is being 75x77 inches , so very usable for the bed too.
(Item: B-528)
This quilt is one of the popular quilt patterns published by Mountain Mist. It is in mint unused condition. It has
never been washed. All hand quilted at a nice 8 spi. It is also nicely hand appliqued. All solid colored fabrics. The
separate green binding is hand stitched on. In the Mountain Mist Blue Book of Quilts it mentions on page 27, "This
pattern is a delightful blending of old and new in quilt designs with inspiration coming from Pennsylvania many years
ago." This quilt came from a Pennsylvania estate and was made by Violet Roberts. What a great quilt for the collector,
especially if in search for these quilts and a pretty quilt too. Sorry,, this quilt should not be in the crazy
quilt/victorian category!!
(Item: Q-527)
This Chain Variation quilt in the 2 colors of green solids and white is in excellent condition. It appears to be unused
and has had one washing. One minute spot as shown. All nicely hand quilted at 6-7 spi. For the binding a knife edge
style was used, with the front and back turned in and hand stitched. There is an eight point star quilted in the white
areas. A very nice quilt that displays well.
(Item: Q-526)
Take a good look at this wonderful unused circa 1880's applique, red/green/cheddar quilt with quality workmanship and
mint condition. It appears unused and had never been washed. Very good quilting and excellent applique work. It is hand
quilted and also hand bound with a separate green binding. The border applique of baskets with flowing flowers and
leaves really add to this quilt. This is a 12 block quilt and worthy to be added to a quality collection. The images
speak for the quilt. Displays well too.
(Item: Q-523)
This minature scale basket quilt has a real history of names on it.. The quilt has approximately 230 baskets and
numerous names. The baskets are pieced and the handle is appliqued. The blocks are only 3 1/4 inches big. It is all
hand quilted and also hand pieced. Unfortunately this quilt was really used and is not in the best of condition. There
are about 82 baskets of the some 230 that have various degrees of wear from very slight to extensive.. There's a piece
out of the corner and damage on the upper right side. This is more of a history quilt,, or like a favorite book that
someone or many loved. The quilt came out of the New York area. Some of the names include N Stewart, Inez Porter, Miss
Judith Rogers, Ethel Young, Frank Wheeler, Mrs A S Bassett, Miss Mattie Bassett, Jonathan Hanyes, Miss D Mills, Frank W
Wale, and many more. Most of the names are legible and there are names in all of the blocks set between the baskets.
This could be a real study quilt for the right person. This is a quilt I purchased because of the love for the pattern
and the history that could possible be found with such a treasure trove of family names from over 140 plus years ago. I
hope this quilt finds the home where it will be in better care than it had it its past and be loved and cherished. One
may even find a decendant of one of the names found on the quilt.
(Item: Q-522)
This popular antique quilt pattern in the colors of trukey solid red and white is in very good condition. Size is
76x79. Hand quilted at 8-9 spi. It is also hand pieced. Quilted in small one inch squares. For the binding the front is
turned from the front to the back and hand whipped down. Has some very slight binding wear. Displays well.
(Item: Q-520)
This wool Pendleton Indian blanket shawl is in excellent condition. It has beautiful shades of browns, sunset oranges,
reds, yellows, etc. The smaller diamonds on the side and the larger diamonds in the center make this a very stunning
blanket. It also has the Greek key border on the 2 ends. The original label is intact, but unreadable. It is the
early 1920's label. There is a blanket similar to this in Bob Kapoun's book Language of the Robe, page 57. A very
desirable blanket and it sure displays well.
(Item: B-516)
This wonderful antique quilt has the nicest collection of fabrics. Condition is excellent. Hand quilted at 8 spi. It
is both hand and machine pieced. The blue chambray backing is also the fabric used for the hand appliqued binding.
Beautiful old fabrics used in the construction of this quilt that look to range from 1870'to the 1880's.. Several
images of the fabrics are shown. There is some slight migration of the pink color used in one of the fabrics, but not
obvious. Great fabric study quilt and displays well. The quilting is interesting, as there is an 8 point star and
another circular pattern quilted along with crosshatching. Pennsylvania origin.
(Item: Q-515)
This is a nice usable good condition cotton camp blanket with good colors and has the patina of use, but mostly on the
ends, as shown. Great colors of dark lavender, green, salmon and black. It has been washed and is ready to use or
display. This is an Esmond brand of blanket and still has some of the tag on the edge in the binding, as shown.
(Item: B-514)
What a great 4 block Eagle quilt that is in mint condition. It is unused and has never been washed and doesn't need it
either. This quilt still shows the quilting lines marked with pencil. The 4 eagles and center medallion are appliqued
and the border is pieced. The binding is done by turning the front to the back and was hand stitched down. Fabrics are
all solids. Dating of this quilt is a conservative 1940's, as it was suggested that it may be more from the 1920's.
The solids make it more difficult to date. This is a strong quilt with vivid colors of red, green and cheddar on a
muslin ground and with Pennsylvania origin. I was told this was made by Verna Brittman or Brietman from Lancaster
County Pennsylvania. It is all hand quilted at 7 spi and also the applique is done by hand. An excellent collector
quilt.
(Item: Q-513)
This appealing pattern from the 1930's is so colorful with the solid blue blocks and the plates set on a white
back ground. The condition is excellent, as it looks like it was just made and then put away and has had only one
professional wet wash. No wear. The plates are full of pretty prints, many of which are feedsack fabric. The plate has
nice hand applique. The quilt is all hand quilted at a fine 8-9 spi. The blue binding is the same blue fabric as the
front blocks. For the binding the back is brought forward to the front and hand whipped down. The backing has the same
solid blue around the border of about 12 inches and white in the center making the back having a pattern of sort. This
was one of the more popular patterns of the 1930's. Bloomington ,Illinois estate.
(Item: Q-510)
This antique quilt with a pattern that looks like little saw teeth in a circle. The pattern is also called 4 Little
Fans. The condition of this 1870's quilt is very good with some slight age spots , as shown. It has been professionally
wet washed. The quilting is wonderful and there's plenty of it. Quilting is done at 8 spi. The separate green binding
is put on by hand. The quilt with all the small scale pieces is also hand pieced. One can just image the person that
made the quilt possible sitting by the oil lamp or candlelight working on this piece of history. There is double line
quilting and close lines of quilting. Check out some of the fabrics used in making this quilt. A nice quilt that can
make a nice addition to a collection. If wanting a quilt from this earler time period it may fit the needs.
(Item: Q-508)
This is a wonderful old cotton Indian camp blanket made by the Esmond Company. The blanket is in excellent condition
with only some slight thinning near the edge. The blanket is clean and ready to use. It is cotton and has a great
geometric pattern with colors of green, wine, pumpkin and soft blue. The original whip stitched binding on the 2 ends
shows where the original label was located on the edge. Great for decorating with or fine to cover up with as being
cotton, it has a good feel. Take a look!
(Item: B-506)
This 2 color Double Irish Chain quilt is in very good condition with no wear. Solid colored fabrics were used in the
making of this quilt. It is hand quilted at 6 spi. The separately applied red binding is also hand whipped on to the
quilt. The size of the red blocks are only 1 1/4 inch in scale. The quilt is clean and ready to use. A good usable
quilt that displays well too. Kloos estate, Mercer County, Pa.
(Item: Q-505)
This light oak finish of an A Brandt Ranch Oak piece of furniture is in very good condition with some normal use on
the top. This piece is called a dressing table,, although I thought at first a 2 drawer desk. On the bottom of the desk
is the original Ranch Oak label, as shown. Model # 1890-17. Also the inside of the drawers has the Brandt brand. The
table has 2 drawers and a solid oak top. A real versitle table/desk that can be used in so many ways. Check it out now.
(Item: F-498)
This circa 1900 Red and White Sawtooth Diamond Quilt is in excellent condition. The size is 68x80. This pattern is also
call square in a square. All hand quilted at a nice 7-8 spi in patterns of clamshells and diagonal lines. The red looks
like a turkey red fabric. A bold striking pattern of the sawtooth. The separate applied binding has been machine
stitched down. The backing fabric is a small pin dot of red on white. The antique quilt has been recently carefully wet
washed by me, so is clean and ready to use and enjoy. The quilt was acquired in the NE USA.

Offering for sale this wonderful dated, signed crazy crib quilt. It is dated 1887 and signed Mary and also has the
initials A.D. in one of the blocks. Size is 31x32 inches. It has the most wonderful embellishments of a sunflower,
early peacock, horseshoe, fern, bird, anchor, butterfly, cross, fan in the corner, harp, moon and stars, and so much
more. It is made mostly from velvets and some felts and wool, so the condition is quite good with only a few loose
pieces and stitches. It appears that the backing was added at a later period. Crazy quilts were usually pieced and put
on a foundatioin , as this one is. There is a great variety of stitches. What an exceptional folky early crazy quilt
that displays well. Found in the NE USA.
(Item: Q-459)
This antique Double Wedding Ring quilt is in excellent condition and ready for one to use. It is clean, sturdy and
well made. Lots of nice cotton prints and feedsacks were used in the making of this vintage quilt. It is hand quilted
at a nice 8 spi. The separate binding is put on by hand stitching. A double diamond quilt pattern in the arcs and
another pattern, like a 4 point star, betweeen the rings. The extra border area makes this wedding ring quilt a bit
more unusual than many. Attractive colors of pink and blue at the intersecting rings. The generous size of this quilt
makes it usable on lots of beds. It could actually be used on not only a double, but a queen or king if turned across
ways. Northern Illinois area.
(Item: Q-458)
The condition of this vintage Eagle applique quilt is excellent. Size 87x106. This pattern is made like the Great Seal
of the United States. The bald eagle is our national bird, which represents freedom. Unused and only had one bath, this
is a fine collectors quilt. One light spot, shown. Lots of fine hand quilting at 9 spi and the applique stitch is fine
as well. The gold binding is applied separately and hand whipped on. The medallion center is surrounded by 13 hand
appliqued 5 point stars. Fabrics for the ground are cotton and I believe taffeta for the applique. The eagle is holding
in the beak a scroll which says E PLURIBUS UNUM which means "out of many". The one claw is holding an olive branch and
the other claw is holding a bundle of 13 arrows. The body consists of a shield of 13 red and white stripes. The
red and white stripes represent the first 13 colonies, which 13 was used in many ways in this quilt. This quilt has
some provenance, as I was told it came from Slippery Road , Pa. Made by a Grandmother for her 3 year old grandson in
1940 or 1942. A wonderful quilt to add to a patriotic collection or for that special room.
(Item: Q-456)
This little hand made small wall size quilt is made from vintage 1930's-40's feedsack/flour sack fabrics. It was made in 2005 and is signed by June Carlin with the date. It is all hand quilted and is also hand pieced. It is quilted inside each of the small postage size , approximate one inch squares. It feels to be all cotton. There is a separate red print binding that was stitched on by hand. Condition is mint. Missouri
(Item: Q-453)
The condition of this yellow and white quilt is excellent. It is all hand quilted at a very nice 9-10 spi. A pretty
quilting pattern was used being a half wreath in the bigger yellow triangles and circles and corner curves in the other
triangles. This is a quilt that I could not locate a pattern name for, so just calling it the big little triangles
unknown pattern. The separate tiny yellow binding is hand stitched on. The piecing also looks to be done by hand.
This is a very pretty quilt with a pretty shade of sunny yellow. Southern Illinois

1921 Pendleton Tepee Indian Trade Blanket-Mint (b-437)- Circa 1920's, size 63x76. The condition of this blanket is about
as mint as one can get for a 1920's wool blanket. The original label is attached, shown, and it looks like it is mint
too. The felt bindng is in wonderful condition. Blanket looks like it was just stored and not used. A great pattern of
the tepees and the geometric pattern gives this blanket lots of appeal. Good colors too. As noted in Language of the
Robe by Bob Kapoun, this blanket was one of the most popular blanket patterns and it also shown on pg 161 of his book.
It is a featured blanket on page 107 of Chasing Rainbows, another popular trade blanket book by Barry Friedman
containing lots of information. This is the kind of blanket collectors like if upgrading collections or if only wanting
the best of a kind. Take a look at the pictures and let them speak to you as many of these blankets have spoken to me!
(Item: B-437)
1933 George Washington Cherry Tree and Hatchet Quilt w/Border (q-430)-Circa Dated 1933, size 78x86. The condition of
this quilt is near mint and unused. This wonderful applique quilt with the resemblance of the famous story of young
George Washington and the cherry tree. Whether it is fact or legend, the story goes that when young George Washington
was about 6 years old acquired a hatchet and tried it out on the young English cherry-tree.
This quilt has a historic patriotic look to it, in addition to being a very fine quality quilt. It is all hand quilted
at an excellent 10-11 spi and also finely hand appliqued. The maker who signed and dated the quilt was M. E Osborne of
Hamilton County, Indiana. On the backside is the attached fabric with her initials M.E.O. 1933. The narrow green
binding is hand whipped on. The workmanship is fantastic and the theme is equal. This quilt was unused and has never
been washed. It does have a few light insignificant storage spots. I decided not to wash this quilt and leave it in the
crisp unwashed condition it is in. The red and green fabrics are strong and it hasn't been used other than display.
Study the images , as they tell the story of this exquisite quilt. It is a true visual delight. This quilt would make
an excellent addition for a collection and it displays well. Indiana
(Item: Q-430)
1921 Label Pendleton Indian Trade Blanket-Black ground (b-425)- Circa 1921 label, size 61x79. The condition of this wool
blanket is very good to excellent. Colors of black , red, wine, sunset, green, etc. This blanket still has the original
Pendelton label, shown. The binding is a demin red felt color. There's a handful of moth bites, mostly near an edge, as
shown. This blanket is very appealing as it has a nice strong black ground on one side and as Barry Friedman, author of
Chasing Rainbows, calls this a "dazzling pattern" as mentioned in reference to a blanket like this on page 124 in his
book. By the way, the book Chasing Rainbows is great and a wonderful reference for blankets. Displays well and has no
shrinkage. Nice collector blanket.
(Item: B-425)
Yellow and White Tumbling Stars Quilt(q-424)- Circa 1930's, size 71x79. The condition of this quilt is excellent and a
very pretty quilt to decorate with having just the 2 colors of yellow and white . This pattern is also a tumbling block
pattern. This handmade quilt is hand quilted at 6-8 spi and also the yellow binding is put on by hand. Quilted by the
piece and is also hand pieced. The backing is a shade of solid green. Great decorating quilt and sturdy to use. Oklahoma
City , Ok estate.
(Item: Q-424)
Flagstones Quilt w/ Flying Geese Border (q-420)- Circa 1930's, size 88x95. The condition of this quilt is mint, unused
and never washed. It is just great with a different pattern and a wonderful border of flying geese to set it off. A 2
color quilt of deep lavender or light purple and white. Nicely hand quilted at 7-8 spi.The binding was done in the knife
edge style, being the top and back fabric folded in together and whipped together which is very time consuming. The size
of this quilt is very generous, as you can see my quilt holders, Ronnie and Allen had a hard time holding it up to see
all the borders. It would work on a queen bed and top a king bed if desired. This pattern has several names including
May Festival, 4 and 9 Patch, also Pullman Puzzle, so just pick out the one you like best,,, a real versitle quilt in the
condition that has no excuses. Ohio estate.
(Item: Q-420)
Original Crib Double Wedding Ring Quilt(q-419)-Circa 1930's, size 45x51. The condition of this wonderful Missouri crib
quilt is excellent with no wear. The size is to scale with the pattern for a crib quilt. A great variety of 30's fabrics
including some feedsacks were used in the making of the quilt. It has only had one bath as it appears unused , but there
is one slight age? spot, shown, or I would consider it near mint. The quilt has a lovely scalloped border with the
points between the scallops. The rings are only 12 inches across and only 3 inches between the center rings. The single
arc is only 1 1/2 inchs wide. A soft lavender ground and the backing is the same. For the binding the same lavender
fabric was used and was hand stitched on for a fine finish. It is all hand quilted at 7-8 spi and a neat little quilting
pattern used in the center. The small wedding ring quilt was hand pieced too. Crib quilts of original size and scale are
getting harder to find and this is a charming quilt. Central Missouri area.
(Item: Q-419)
Missouri Daisy Quilt- 8 Point Stars(q-418)-Circa 1890's, size 75x89. The condition of this quilt is mint, as it looks
like it has probably had just one bath in its life and is fresh and clean. I was calling this an unusual 8 point star
pattern untill finding the pattern name called Missouri Daisy, and to add to that I bought it in Missouri. The pattern
looks like the daisy's are touching points and then you can also see another pattern if lookiing at the white ground
instead of the colors. It is all hand quilted at a very nice 7 spi and for the binding the back fabric is brought to the
front and machine stitched down. It is hand pieced. The fabrics of double pink and green set on a white ground make for
a very attractive, showy quilt. Displays well and an excellent quilt to add to a collection. Missouri.
(Item: Q-418)
Pendleton Center Point Indian Trade Blanket/Shawl (b-407)- Circa 1920's, size 63x66 w/out fringe. The condition of this
wool trade blanket is excellent. The fringe is all intact and the colors are good and not faded. This handsome pattern
displays well and hangs great too.
This is most likely a 1921 Pendleton , but the label is gone, only looks like an indention where it was in the corner
,as shown. There is another blanket of this pattern in different colors on the site. There is a blanket similar to this
in Language of The Robe by Kapoun, page 56. Wonderful blanket for a collection. Good example of a center point blanket.
(Item: B-407)
Pink and White Kite Quilt (q-399)- Circa 1920's-30's, size 69x77. This quilt is in very good conditon. The batting has
the old what looks to be the hand carded cotton with the seeds in it. It is all hand quilted at 5 spi. It looks like old
off white feedsack backing , which I just now see has one dime size hole only the back, a quick mend. For the binding
the backing is brought to the front and machine stitched down. A very usable quilt and priced right in colors of pink
and white. A fun quilt to decorate with also.
A kind note was sent to me regarding this quilt and the pattern name,,, so please read the following concerning this quilt.
I think this quilt pattern is "Arabic Lattice", Ladies Art Company No 413. The actual block's center is the four-patch block on point, with large triangles on the outside of the block in alternating colors.
I always appreciate corrections on the name of patterns, as many have several names and some just look like a familiar pattern, but have another name.
(Item: Q-399)
A Brandt Ranch Oak Double Dresser(f-395)- circa 1950's, size 60" across, 20" deep, 35" tall. This handsome A Brandt
double dresser with 6 drawers is ready to take home and use. Very nice condition. It has the Ranch Oak brand in the

A Brandt Ranch Oak Bookcase Headboard w/Attached Tables (f-326) Circa 1950's, size 92" from side to side, 56" wide where
a bed would go, 13" deep, 42" tall to top and 26 inches tall to the first shelf. This rare piece of A Brandt Ranch Oak
is in very good condition with just a few use spots on the finish as the finish is original. It is solid oak and has the
Ranch Oak markings in the drawers, shown. This piece is more unusual due to the fact there are attached side drawers on
each side of the bed. It looks like it could be used for almost any size of hollywood frame, maybe even a king. There is
also an electrical outlet on the shelf above the bed for a night light. This is all one piece of furniture. This ranch
oak has the light honey finish. In addition to being a headboard for a bed , it also looks like it could be used in
other ways due to the style and the oak front, like maybe a wall unit or bookcase alone. Check it out!
(Item: F-394)
Cayuse- Pendleton Indian Trade Blanket- Stunning(b-389)- Circa 1920's, size 59x71. The condition of this Cayuse Indian
blanket is very good. The colors and pattern make it a very graphic and colorful trade blanket. In not so often seen
colors of blue(dominant color), black, red, cheddar, green, cream, etc. This blanket is wool and still has the original
red felt binding and the original label, shown, which is a 1921 copywright. Slight binding wear. This blanket pattern is
in both books, Language of the Robe by Kapoun and also Chasing Rainbows by Freidman. It is on page 146 in Language Of
The Robe. A wonderful display blanket and great for a collector.
(Item: B-389)
Hands All Around Vintage Quilt- Mint(q-387) Circa 1930's-40's, Size 77x98. The condition of this quilt is mint and is
unused . Colors of red , white and blue. The 2 print fabrics are the same pattern with only one in red and the other
blue. It is all hand quilted at 8 spi and the separate binding is whipped on by hand. Polka dot print for the backing
and polka dot print for the binding. This quilt has some provenance, as the person I purchased it from noted that it was
from the Elmer Waggoner estate of Fremont, Ohio. It was Elmer Waggoner's wifes quilt-from 4 mile road, Fremont.
Supposedly the great grandfather was a body guard to George Washington.(Please note this information is what was relayed
to me.) Sorry in wrong category, this is a quilt and not a top!
(Item: Q-387)
Oregon City Indian Trade Blanket - Center Point 1920 (b-385) Circa 1920's, size 76x60. This desirable pattern of the
Oregon City line of blankets is in very good condition. This is considered a center point pattern, is wool and has the
original felt binding. The felt binding has a few small moth nibbles, shown. The felt bound blankets were considered
the higher quality blankets. There is a blanket similar to this on page 99 in the book Language Of The Robe by Bob
Kapoun and is also on a featured page in Chasing Rainbows by Barry Friedman. Barry Friedman mentions this is one of
the very best Jacobs Oregon City patterns. This is the 4th Oregon City blanket label and it's still attached, shown.
This blanket is an excellent one for a collection and displays well.

Tan 221 J Singer Featherweight Sewing Machine (fw-384)- 1962 model. Condition is very good to excellent on this
tan/beige 221J Featherweight. Included is the bobbin case, various attachments, old manual and the case. This is one of
the colors that is harder to find especially in this nice condition. Serial number is on the bottom of the machine,
shown. Matter-in-fact, the serial number is upside down to the usual way, which I understand is the way they put them on
the tan machines. Serviced, cleaned and ready to use.

Dresden Plate Quilt With Border(q-379)- Circa 1930's, size 72x89. This unused and unwashed quilt is in mint condition.
It is well quilted at a fine 9-10 spi. Such a pretty group of fabrics used for the plates with a buttery yellow center.
An extra touch and also extra work by adding the triangular-like, ice cream cone border. Nice and thin with a pretty
lavender small scale print backing. The backing fabric is also used for the binding, but a separate piece was cut and
made for the binding and was hand whipped down. Hangs and displays well . Missouri

made probably 40 or so years ago was a kit quilt. Very attractive with nice hand quilting and also hand cross-stitching.
Several nice quilting patterns were also used on the ground areas. Hand quilting at 7-8 spi. The batting feels like a
synthetic blend and the backing also a blend. This vine looking pattern has what look to be pineapples and flowers. A
separate green binding is whipped on by hand . The backing is also green. Unsure of the company that originally sold
this kit. Ready to use and clean. Acquired in Oklahoma.
(Item: Q-374)
Red /White Robbing Peter To Pay Paul Quilt9q-373)- Circa 1930's, size 78x79. This well quilted blue and white stars
quilt has been used and has wear and damage, so selling as is. The hand quilting is one of the reasons I originally
purchased it and that it was blue and white . Actually it looks like there is a beige color between the stars that is
just more off-white. The damage is mostly on the edge and binding and in one of the blue stars in the white area . There
are a couple of slits in the edging. Also the backing has wear. It has wonderful hand quilting at 9 spi and very well
done. This quilt is good for decorating with or folded or using in some way, like on the end of a bed , as it has
numerous uses. Ohio area.
(Item: Q-373)

blue blueing like spots, not significant. It is hand bound with the front fabric being turned to the back. Nice hand
quilting at 7-8 spi. The making of this quilt is very nice with the use of curves making a circular pattern. Good
decorating quilt. Ready to use. Wellsley, Ma. estate.

Suspension Bridge Quilt(q-341) Circa 1880's, size 62x70. This wonderful graphic quilt has a lot of visual appeal. The
pattern is also known as Broken Circle and Sunburst. The condition is good, as it's not quite perfect, but I was drawn
to it by other factors. There is some fading of the fugitive green and there's a couple of old patches, one shown, on it
that were left as is. Actually, the red patch isn't stitched through to the back , so I feel like it was made when the
top was pieced. It is all hand quilted and not the smallest of stitches. Wonderful fabrics and a pattern to match.
There's a few age, storage spots and a few light wear spots on the binding, but I don't see any other wear on the top.
It is hand pieced. The separate binding was hand whipped on. Great backing too. Looks to be a southern quilt, as I did
acquire it in the North Carolina Smokey Mountain area.
News,,,, Just discovered by an email that this pattern is also called Sunflower. It will be on exhibit at the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Ky. This is some information on the exhibit as follows. "The National Quilt Museum is putting on an exhbit of antique Sunflower quilts titled “Golden Oldies”. The exhibit will open March 19 and the last day is June 15, 2010."
