This is a wonderful Double Wedding Ring quilt made in the 1930's using solid color fabrics. Amish wedding ring quilts were made using solids, but I have no provenance with the quilt other than it was purchased in Texas. It is in excellent condition. With thoughts it may have been a brides quilt as there are hearts quilted in the corners and inbetween the arcs in the off white areas. Very well quilted at 9-10 spi. It was also hand pieced. The separate pink binding was stitched on by hand using very tiny stitches. The solid colors of blue, gold, green, lavender and pink make up the rainbow of colors in the rings. Nice scalloped edge. Wedding ring quilts are usually made using a multitude of prints, so to find one using solids make them more unusual. Ready to enjoy and displays well. A fine quilt and a piece that could be used as art , even modern design.
