Log Cabin Quilt/Cheater Fabric Log Border-Unusual SOLD
(Item: Q-610)
This is a great last quarter century, circa 1880's, Log Cabin antique quilt. It is in excellent condition and looks to be unused. It has a wonderful assortment of fabrics making up the smaller scale logs. They are only 3/4 inch wide. The hand quilting is extra nice too at 9-10 spi. The tiny binding is stitched by hand with the back being turned forward to the front. The outer border was made using cheater fabric that looks like a tiny pieced log pattern. The maker had a eye for fabric and had the thought for using this fabric for the border to go along with the pattern of the quilt. Displays well either hanging or on a bed or however one wishes.
