Cindys Antique Quilts

This wool and mixed fabrics star quilt is in excellent condition. Some of the fabrics in additon to wools is corduroy, velvet, etc.  A super graphic quilt on black ground, but has a suttle feel and sophistication.  It is more unusual to see a star quilt pieced in a crazy quilt style. Great use of colors in the pieces. The stars are outlined  briar-stitched. The hand stitched binding is turned from the back and stitched to the front. The backing is pieced in 3 different fabrics. This quilt displays well and looks to be possibly Mennonite or Amish, but I would guess Midwest origin.  A nice variation of a lone star by adding the extra stars. Displays well.
