This popular pattern called a Log Cabin quilt is in very good condition. It is pieced on a foundation and it's put together block by block. The center logs/blocks are all in blue and white and it is bordered with red and white log blocks which really makes this layout of color very striking. This is really more of a summer quilt, as there is no batting. The quilt has a signature on the back corner EB Spinning and the number 26 in old ink. The quilt looks to be older than 1926, so it may have been given to this person at that time or it has some other significance. The quilt was recently rinsed and there are some slight splits in about 5 of the white log strips, shown, and a small bleach like spot in a blue log. All this could be restored/repaired if desired, but not necessary to enjoy. The pattern and size make this a great wall quilt and also super on a bed. The size is good at 87x87. Western, Pa area.
