Cindys Antique Quilts

This attractive basket pattern quilt is also call Berry Basket, Fruit Basket, Hanging Basket and also known as Cherry Basket as I am calling it, so find one you like and give it a pattern name!! There are flowers quilted coming out of the top of the basket, flowers quilted in the edge triangles and a pretty quilting pattern, like a flower between the blocks. Fine hand quilting at 12-14 spi,, and that is one side counted only. The appliqued handles of the baskets are also very finely appliqued with tiny stitches. For the binding the back is brought forward to the front and hand stitched down. There is some slight wear on some of the original binding. The quilt otherwise is in great condition. The quilt displays well and with the size of 78x95, a generous size for some of the bigger beds if wanted. The baskets all run the same direction, so it also makes for a very good wall quilt in addition to a bed quilt. There are 30 baskets in all, 5 across and 6 down. Lots of work went into this 1930's pretty quilt.
