1920's Wool Pendleton Indian Trade Blanket- reds/green
(Item: B-518)
This wool Pendleton Indian blanket is one of the earlier blankets made by the Pendleton Company, although the label
which is still there is unreadable. It may even be one of the earlier Beaver State by Pendleton blankets, as it has a
very fine nap. This is a quality blanket showing some wear only on the binding on just the 2 ends, as shown. The sides
have no wear at all. The condition of the blanket itself is excellent. The blanket was probably from the time period of
1915-1920's. The colors are very strong with no fade. Predominately red and green, with accents of 2 other green shades
and white with an original red felt binding. The red in the blanket is a very deep rich blood red. The blanket hangs
and displays well, no shrinkage and no moth problems. Sorry, but can't find any blankets like this in the popular
blanket reference guides. A good quality blanket for a collection.
