Blue and White Double Irish Chain Quilt(q-417)-Circa 1890's, size 64x82. The condition of this quilt is excellent.
Wonderful pattern, which may also be called a 25 Patch Block, is unusual to have it on a blue ground of indigo print.
This pattern is more often seen on a white ground. There are several indigo fabrics used in the making of this quilt.
Nicely hand quilted at 7-8 spi in close, straight lines and quilted in diagonal lines on the border. A very nice 2 color
quilt. The replaced binding, shown, of old fabric is whipped on by hand. This quilt is clean ready to use or display .
This quilt is even nicer in the "real". From Ponca City ,Ok.
